At the risk of hurting my own sales effort, let me confess here and now that media, and the various new forms technology has enabled ARE NOT THE ANSWER!
But before I go further, let's make sure we agree on the question. I say the question is:
"How do I achieve more sales and profit?" Ok, really that's two questions, but sales and profit are directly related, and most would agree that sales without profit are not so helpful. So they tend to go together.
Now back… Continue

Consider this... with the wide array of devices available to handle email (and social networking), screen/display size varies greatly from 32"+ monitors all the way down to the size of a cell phone display. Do you really want to have a 2-inch by 6 inch graphic of your dealership logo with all of your contact information at the top of your emails? I am always learning very valuable lessons from my two young sons (three and five years old, respectively).
They use my iPod touch to play their video games, and one day when they returned it there was a screen up that I had never seen. I asked the five year old how he got there and he said, “I just pushed the buttons.” Same thing happened with the three year old. When he returned my wife’s iPod touch, the icons were all rearranged. My wife replied, “I don’t even know how to do… Continue

Just the other day I had a friend post on Facebook that they can't figure out how to post replies to their friends on Facebook and they keep posting on their own wall instead of their friends. We don't have all the… Continue

Recently our dealership has gone through some tough times in the internet department. The owners don't want to spend the money it takes to run a completely successful department.
One of the first issues we ran into was response time for our internet leads (especially the manufacturer ones from GM). One month we had a 14 hour average.
General Motors has figured out that if a dealership can get response time down under 4 hours, the conversion rate goes through the roof. To… Continue
