Dealers know you must provide fast, convenient, and competitively-priced service in order to retain your customer base. They also know that oil changes and light maintenance are the most requested service items by customers. Knowing this, why do dealers continually fight express service?
I’ve heard all the excuses: it hurts my hours per repair order; it hurts my gross profit percentage; it hurts my effective labor rate; I can’t make any money in express…Continue

There’s a case against Twitter and Pinterest that is being waged by some in the automotive industry. They’ll say that there simply isn’t a good return on investment, that they aren’t worth messing with because it’s just too hard to find a benefit from them. This is true until you look at one major factor: time.

When caught making a mistake or doing wrong, children will always look to point the finger elsewhere. They’ll blame it on a friend, a neighbor, a bully, or an instigator. They were just following someone else’s lead… even if they knew it was wrong. That’s their excuse.…Continue

I wish I had a dollar for every corny fishing analogy used when talking about customers in our business. Ok, so I wouldn’t be rich, but I’d have, like, seven dollars. But who can resist a blog with cute kids in the picture?
I recently took a fantastic striper fishing trip at Lake Texoma with my two boys, Cooper and Carter. I decided to hire a fishing guide for a couple of reasons..one, more fish..two, my A.D.D. kicks in pretty quick when having…Continue

Apparently Facebook is not going away. And to the chagrin of many members of dealership management and ownership, it needs to be a focal point for your multi-pronged digital marketing efforts.
There are many creative articles written about how to increase activity on your business FB page. For instance: donations to a charity for each “Like”, contests that your FB friends can participate in once they’ve liked your page, etc. But the real value in FB is creating an environment that…Continue

Over the past several months, we’ve been doing a ton of research in the automotive industry about how dealers perceive social media marketing. It’s something that has both thrilled and alarmed us because the results have been greatly mixed. On one hand, many dealers are starting to realize that social media is more than just a fluffy form of marketing that has not demonstrable ROI, a…Continue
Many people really don’t know exactly what a Public Relations firm does. The common answer is “write press releases,” but I can guarantee you public relations firms do not sit around all day and just write press releases (or at least good ones). So what, exactly, do we do?
As defined by…Continue
The 2013 Chevy Volt is a popular choice of a car dealership in Mason, Ohio. It is a good choice for supplementing with a solar panel array. The Volt driver fills up the gas tank just as you exceed 900 miles since the gas engine starts only after the battery has been depleted. Even if you cross 1300 miles on the first tank from the dealer, it does not fill up.
