I’m not talking about pretend internet car buying – where we bid and pray at the online auction, or negotiate with car dealers from our keyboards, instead of face-to-face. Following in the footsteps of three generations of outstanding educators, I took on the career of a high school teacher in my early twenties. Being the new kid on the block, I was given two classes out of five that were "at risk" students. High school students don't usually relish in the idea of math class and most "at risk" kids seem to see math as a total…Continue

According to NielsenWire the average amount of time spent on Facebook per user has gone down every month this year - dropping from 7 hours 25 minutes in January to 6 hours 20 minutes per month until they abruptly stopped making that data available.

Mar. 11: -0.1%
Apr. 11: -3.0%

Vendors: Don't bother a dealer for sales, "touching base", or periodic updates during the days noted below. Contact for anything previously agreed upon OR for anything critical to sales is always an exception.
Days to avoid are Friday, Saturday, and Monday; addtionally, avoid the three selling days before the month's end and the first two selling days into the new month.
This blog is short and sweet. If you bother me or my dealer on these days, our reply…Continue

Here's an interesting article on a possible shift in how Google displays results. This move would be similar to what they already do in image search and it would more than likely improve the user experience, which Google has been focusing on heavily as of late.
I would think that while a lot of people don't click through to page two, it is very possible that they would scroll to view 15-20+ results…Continue
Yesterday's NYT has an article about the state of online reviews that is particularly topical for our industry.
It's been about a month since Google placed new emphasis on their own members' reviews in search engine results and relegated the…Continue

Until now, Facebook has allowed advertisers on their platform to target users based on age, sex, interests and location (country, state, and city). In order to drill down even further, Facebook now allows users to target their ads by zip code as well.
When creating your Facebook ad, just add the zip codes that you would like to target. Unlike Google AdWords, you can't use a radius to target further, so make sure that you are including any zip codes from which your…Continue
