Professional Community for Car Dealers, Marketing, Advertising and Sales Leaders
I was having a casual conversation with a counterpart at a different automotive social media company yesterday when he asked, “Why do you guys monitor on the weekends? The dealer doesn’t care and as long as we reply on Monday, they’ll be fine.”
The discussion that ensued was long and nearly got heated. Thankfully, cooler minds…Continue
It is always difficult when we have something that can be used for both personal and professional gain. Since many of us began using social media to connect with friends, family and like-minded people, we forget that it is not the same application for business.
Understanding that there needs to be a difference is where your success can begin. Applying…Continue
Our philosophy at MPi centers on using technology to increase efficiency and generate more revenue for the dealership, while ensuring a better customer experience and an increase in customer retention. However, sometimes it’s the small things that contribute to this effort.
Some say that a dealer doesn’t need overnight chat operators because their research shows that only 10 percent of dealership web traffic occurs between midnight and 8 am. For a long time, I assumed that this was a well-known technique, but after talking to some clients I realized that it’s not as common as I thought. A little background on our situation...
One of my many responsibilities at our dealership is to be in charge of our new and used vehicle photos. I have a guy who works for me that handles the job well, but it falls under my purview. As we all know, we have to be on top of our photos and videos as they are the first thing that most customers see when they view our inventory. Statistics tell us that the average shopper looks at anywhere from 11-18 dealers…Continue

Looking at the screenshot above of the landing page that Facebook took me to when I clicked on Dodge’s advertisement in the sidebar, one might believe everything was in order. It’s not exceptionally attractive and definitely offers way too many options to be a strong landing page from a social media campaign, but at least it’s pretty compelling. The clear call to…Continue

Most Monday mornings I find myself standing in NCM Institute’s beautiful training facility welcoming a new class of retail automobile dealership managers who have come to Kansas City for formalized training specific to their job responsibilities.
