If the Undercover Boss came to your Dealership, What Would they Find?

I am sure we all have seen or heard about this new television show. The boss of a company dons a disguise so its employees won’t recognize him and he gets hired to work on the front lines of his company. The point is to see what working conditions the people in his company work under

It’s a little too cliché for my taste, but I am far from a TV critic. Still, it did make me think, what if the boss of your… Continue

Bluetooth Audio Streaming

Just the other day I had a friend post on Facebook that they can't figure out how to post replies to their friends on Facebook and they keep posting on their own wall instead of their friends. If you think of all of the technology that exists now a days with cell phones, iPods (now iPads as well), WiFi and other devices it's sometimes challenging to understand how it all works. We don't… Continue

Fear and Marketing

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”

Best Dealership on the Planet

Some dealerships earn distinction among their peers, in particular, in areas of dealership performance such as sales, service or customer satisfaction. Very few dealerships, however put it all together as Acton Toyota has done.

I just saw where they won the awards for:

*President’s Award

*Board of Governors

*Customer Service Advisory

*Sales Excellence

*Service Excellence

*Parts Excellence

*Customer Relations Excellence

*Best… Continue

Toyota did the right thing...

After all of the bashing by the Government and National Press, news now surfaces that Toyota had sent its first warning to 1500 Lexus and Toyota dealerships over three years ago. Toyota notified it's dealership network and the public through an established industry method known as a "Technical Service Bulletin".

(A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), is a communication between a manufacturer and its dealerships that can serve as an update to publications, describe parts updates, or… Continue

Selling to Socialites...My 2 Sense in BDC / Internet Sales "Battle of The Trainers" Conference Call

As a Trainer/Consultant, What sets you apart from others?

carsalestoday header

I was on a webinar yesterday called "Battle of the Trainers." On it, was a dealership looking for a consultant/trainer to take them to the next level with their BDC/Internet efforts. The premise was to have the dealer bulk interview trainers to see if they could find the right one for them. It was a very interesting webinar. I enjoyed listening to the other trainers talk about their philosophies on training and consulting.

Around 100 other dealers…

Men vs Women Drivers

Last night on NBC5 in DFW you might have watched the segment on NBC5 News at 10pm that took a look at driving habits of men and women and specifically married couples. Meredith Land, the anchor of the

NBC5 10pm slot, came out and interviewed me and my wife, Adrian, and put us through a little driving challenge.

We had a driving instructor with us in the passenger seat who gave us instructions on what to do.

First up was parallel parking and… Continue

Enterprise-level CRM view?

Which CRM can provide a full "Enterprise View" of a multi-rooftop, multi-location dealer group?

In ONE screen, I want to see how the floor traffic, phone calls, and Internet leads are doing at any location and/or for any make. An executive summary for the GM/Principal.

Who on here can provide that?

Thanks,

Keith
