I see an increasing trend from auto dealers: slip, trips and falls are on the rise, particularly in the service department.
This uptick can be attributed to some or all of the following factors:
Dealerships are simply more hazardous than previously, either due to changing weather patterns or because attention to safety has waned,
Dealerships are servicing a greater number of cars because more…

Sometimes in Florida, I see the occasional flock of birds fly in a V formation heading south (probably to Miami, they have a great party scene). That got me thinking, how does that V formation help them fly faster and farther? Of course, I found the answer and ways it can relate to creating the ideal team environment for your dealership.

From time to time something will still surprise me. This happened last week in Long island. I received a phone call from the dealer to meet to discuss a BDC. One of his friends had refered my company to him. I agreed to meet him. I pulled up to the dealer, nice store with good display and a Used car lot.
Once inside it was like the 80s in decor. One of the sales guys greets me and I tell him I'm there to see the owner. He gets him and we go into his office and talk for about an hour.…Continue

Communities, we are all a part of one, whether it be the community within our local area, the one with family and friends, or our online communities, they all play a vast role in who we are and what we wish to accomplish, in life and in business.
It’s no secret that humans are…Continue

While the other sales people at my dealership were freezing, chasing fresh ups outside on the blacktop, I was warm and cozy, tucked away in my office - glasses first into my MacBook building my personal brand. It's not that I don't enjoy following customers around in the cold at a 20% closing ratio, it's more so that I wanted to focus on customer loyalty and presenting myself to the general public in a manner that would bring them directly to me…without all of the chasing that…Continue
Humans are competitive by nature. Throughout history, as a species, we’ve been competing in one way or another whether that’s with each other or nature. So it came as no surprise to us when one of our clients – Princeton Mini – approached us and said that they “had to” win a regional OEM contest being held in conjunction with a national sales event, and enlisted our assistance.
The “Not So Normal” sales event held by Mini was designed to advertise the exceptionally…Continue

The best tools in the world are only as good as their user. Similarly, loyalty programs are only as good as your employees make them. The best loyalty program in the world still requires staff buy-in to make it work. If a current program isn’t working, dealers should take a closer look at their culture and create strategies to develop a positive work environment and motivated employees. Here’s how to get started:
1) Find out what’s important to your…Continue

In one sentence, the advice that business owners and marketers need to hear is this: “Everything on your Facebook page should be centered around the real world.”
No, I don’t mean the reality TV show that launched it all in 1992. When The Real World launched on MTV 27 seasons ago (yes, it’s still going strong in case you weren’t aware), it set in motion a genre of television that many people claim to hate but…Continue
