Third gen car gear head, grandpa Elliott sold Packard’s during the Depression in Cleveland, got his first Franchise in the late 40’s. One of the founding dealers of the “Bedford Automile” on the eastside of Cleveland. My dad’s automotive career started like my own selling, managing and eventually became the dealer. I attend Northwood University in Midland Michigan. I sold, managed and became a dealer in 1991 until 2001. The car business is my passion and vocation. I love technology and am compelled to learn and improve.

I have been asked..."Why did I get out of retail"? Frankly....because I was unwilling to change. A very painful lesson!

The House passed legislation to inject $2 billion into "Cash for Clunkers" after the administration reported that the $1 billion federal program was running out of money shortly after it began.

The bill, which goes to the Senate next week, would transfer the new money from a U.S. loan-guarantee program for renewable energy systems that was funded under the stimulus package earlier this year.

I was impressed enough with your Group Concept for that I used Powerpoint to create a 171 pixel by 171 pixel image that fits perfect into the Group Icon slot... Basically, I create a square, use the right color background, and then shrink down logos to fit inside the square... Then I group the images and square together in PPT using the "Group" command from the right click menu, and then "Save As Image" by right-clicking on the group... Then I open my newly created Frankenstein image in Office Picture Manager and resize it into 171 x 171 using the edit image and then resize command... Then I save it under a new file name... After you do it a couple times it is pretty easy and works with web site images that need to be a certain size, or specials wizards as well... Great Group!

I got one of my dealers who just fired his BDC girl ...she was clueless on how to convert phone ups to appmts . I have suggested the outsourcing option and they are open to the idea . Vegas ? well Vegas ....can't really share the deatails on-line ....Big Brother may be watching :) seriously . Company is moving in a whole new direction based on the current challenges we are all facing . If our dealers don't succeed , either do we . I like it . It's the right thing to do .
