With a background in retail automobile sales, Robert W. Smith, Chairman and CEO of The Listener® Group, knew that the way to improve dealership sales was to improve customer relationships.
Mr. Smith began his career in 1976 by selling over 1000 cars retail in five years at Bob Salter Chevrolet, Pensacola, Fla. He was an independent dealer and early executive with Triex, Auto Realty, AutoList, J.D. Byrider and CAC.
He founded AutoList® in 1988 to provide marketing services to dealers as a way to reach out, establish, and maintain relationships beyond the dealership showroom.
