Just wondering if you're using a DMS at this time? We've got a powerful and very affordable solution that works for independents as well as franchised dealers. Visit www.vehiclexpress.com for more info, or call our general manager at 866-447-0462 extension 214.
Have you guys looked into any mobile solutions yet? (cell phones that is). We have some pretty unique tech that allows people to get your cars sent to their phones and are local to Chicago. One way for them is to even take a picture of the car itself, send the picture, and get the cars info and link to it on your website. Email me at Evan@ViralMesh.com and we can chat some more if you would like. Thanks!
As I write this I will be leaving to go to the 9pm Campus Vigil. My wife had cousin whose daughter was in the cafeteria of the May 21, 1998 Springfield, Ore shooting. My desk is less than 1 mile away from Cole Hall. At 3:08 A Squad car went past at 60-70 miles an hour. I sit a block away from a busy intersection. I had a customer sitting with me and I said: Wow I have been sitting at this desk for 14 years and have never seen a squad car go by that fast. A few minutes later one of our mechanics, who is a volunteer fire fighter, told us a level 5 ambulance call went out. That ment EVERY available ambulance in the county to respond. People from the university began picking up their cars and trucks. One lady works in the same building as the campus PD told us of officers coming with large blood satins. I had close friends son of whom I have baby sat for was walking into the area as people were running out, screaming to run the other way. We got a fed-Ex delivery at 3:20ish, He said he was delivering books, head popping, he looked into his van because he thought boxes were falling down. We at the store have many connections to people affected by this since-less tragedy. We are 2 blocks from the Campus. The question will always remain: Why? Life is on a thread. We must be ready for that thread to snap. Is there an after-life? I believe so. I also have the confidence of where I will spend eternity. If anyone reading this posting doesn’t have that confidence, I would be more that happy to talk to you about it. Please say a prayer for our community. Thanks
Interesting on the eBay thing. I have heard alot of people talk down about it. Good for you that you can make it work. I take care of the Internet for 2 stores. We have always had a struggle with leads on their cars. Of course they want to work them however I do all the input and research. I have tried to explain, don’t take off my plate get your own plate! eBay would work and it’s a different customer! Would you mind talking to one of my guys for a few minutes about what you do? Ill send you out to eat for your time:)
One thing I would recommend if you enjoy working with digital marketing selling cars online, I get there. If my dealer would pay I would pay out of my pocket. It’s worth it just for networking alone. OOOHHH, by the way if you make down you can come to my session "The one Man Internet Department" : 0)
Glad to see someone joining us from the dealer trenches! After 25+ years as a GM and dealer I have learned that the best input is from the showroom floor - real or virtual - so please read and reply to some of my forums. Feel free to disagree - no worries - I can take it! Thanks, and welcome!
BTW, my wiphe wants a new CTS in the worst kind o way... Would you like to try contacting here by email? Her email is:
email@example.com and her best phriend lives in Chicago, so a good excuse to come up here would be welcomed... I think I can get a GMS pricing PIN.
I like what you have done to your personal section here... I was in Chicago all day today for a meeting and now I am at O'Hare getting read to head on over to Detroit.
