10 Years in the Automotive Industry-Primarily Internet Sales up to Business Development/Intelligence? More like Dilligence Management-"Moving Iron" Peace of mind comes from knowing the statistics. If you are not in or on the internet Gravy train, you are lost. My job is primarily to keep the doors swinging. How do I do this? By Building a relationship, confirming availability, and setting up a visit date and time. I also train rookies on the appointment funnel, the art of delay and antici......pation.
Internet customers or "propeller heads" as I like to call them need a flood of specific information. Provide that and back it up and you should have about 15%-20% or more buying from you. Ignore this and you can be happy with your 10% average regardless of how many leads you add. The difference between extraordinary and ordinary is just a little "extra". If your ship does not come in, swim out to it.

Welcome To ADM,

As a fellow member of the online community I value input from current "front line" car people over all others, including my own. I invested 25+ years as a general manager and auto dealer principal before focusing on automotive advertising and consulting and I envy you the real world experiences that are shaping the auto industry of tomorrow which is very different from the yesterday that I had to deal with. The "virtual" showrooms that are attracting today's car shoppers present new challenges for the real world and I would appreciate any insights that you could share on any of the forums that I have posted. Please review any that might be of interest and reply with your suggestions. Feel free to disagree! I have "borrowed" some of the best ideas that I have ever had and I would appreciate your lending me some of yours for my clients and the other ADM members anxious to listen. learn and teach.
