I am from the philosophy that customer service doesn't need to be dead in order to sell cars. I think that a dealership can be most successful when they adapt to meet the needs of the customers vs. forcing them into deals.

I have worked on Internet Leads since before we really knew what they were. I started selling Nissan in Orlando in 2001 and have loved it ever since. I have recently become the e-Commerce director for Hyundai of Louisville and I look forward to the challenge.

couldn't agree more w/ your last comment re: the whole Jim Z. fiasco. I think you nailed it on the head when you perceived it to be a "hot button" issue.
Having 3 dealerships which compete,sometimes in a not so friendly manor,I would love to get some input on how you juggle leads,determine store assignation and deal with the inevitable ego issues.
Plan on starting a few discussions soon as soon as I can clarify in my own mind how to phrase the topic!!! Two of my I-net managers are also active members in here and don't want to rock the boat...if you can read between those lines.
Just feel we are not being as effective as possible.

Welcome to the ADM community! Having invested 25+ years as a general manager and dealer principal before "switching sides" to advertising and consulting I have learned to value input from front line "car guys/gals" above all others. Please review and reply to some of my posted forums with the confidence that it is OK to disagree. Frankly, I "borrowed" some of the best ideas that I ever had and ADM is an excellent forum to find more examples of creative genius to share with my affiliated advertising agencies and auto dealer clients. Again, welcome and get ready to listen, learn and hopefully teach. After all, that's what friends are for!
It is great to see you here... I am back in my home office after last week's Phoenix-Chicago-Dallas road trip. I am working on preparing material for an Atlanta trip on Thursday.
