This photo was taken in 1983 in my bedroom as I was developing software for a publishing deal with Prentice Hall. I was developing on an Apple IIe using BASIC programming language. The book and software was published in 1984 called "The Readability Machine".

Thinking back on laptops...
I had a Kaypro "luggable" CPM computer in a metalccase...HP also had an early laptop with an orange lcd screen. The incredible jumps in technology are just staggering when you think that this is what I started with.

Awesome Brian !
Great photo. In 1983, I was traveling with a Tandy 100 (the first laptop ?), and running my marketing analysis software from pay phones with a cradle handset modem - 300 Baud ! Wish I had a photo of that. See you at DD9.

I remember my IIe! My dad taught me basic when I was in my early teens.
