@Rob How True
3 years ago when I got a Flip Cam one of the first things I did was recorded my monitor for every How do you?….. question. He walked by one day and saw my Flip on a mini tri-pod, he said what are you doing? I responded, I’m sick and tired of answering the same question every few weeks. Its wasting OUR TIME, so I will do it once and they can watch a video. I set up a channel for just that purpose. I would then cc’ him on all the links I emailed to the staff. He THEN saw how much TIME was being spent because someone didn’t “commit training to memory”. “Smoked a lot of rats pout of the “Lazy Hole” in a soft way……

Are you the Dealership CRM expert? "Hey get the new guy set up in ____ would'ja" Somehow that has become part of what an Internet Manager or Director is expected to be. Now that being said, most if not all of us probably are CRM experts due to the fact that we actually use our dealers CRM to its fullest potential. Besides we know that if we add the new sales people correctly, with all of the appropriately marked boxes, we’ll get better reporting.

As internet director you may have also had a say in choosing your dealers new CRM, (probably so you could get the best ILM with the latest skate prevention abilities) so of course you must be an expert. So the next time a salesperson returns from a four day vacation and knocks on your office door and says "Uh, what was my password again?" Just be thankful that they are not asking you to fix the copier or remove a virus from the GM’s kid’s laptop. wink, wink
