to an originating digital advertising campaign source.GA Call Tracking Provider List: http://www.google.com/analytics/apps/results?category=Phone%20Call%20Tracking
Has anyone found success in using any a Google Analytics integrated phone call tracking for performance analytics of digital advertising campaigns?
Or has phone call tracking enabled CRM alone been sufficient for sourcing the effectiveness of digital advertising?
Our dealership is getting a Dealer Socket CRM and our new CRM Manager believes that CRM integrated call tracking numbers can be used to source digital advertising. But I see so many shortfalls with CRM for sourcing digital advertising. CRM cannot, to my limited CRM knowledge, report the identity of media that proceeded the actual source from where a prospects submitted their lead. For instance, a visitor arrives to a dealership website from a banner ad and submits a lead from a dealer’s website. CRM will, as would a showroom customer, report the lead source as “website”. No attribution is made to the referring digital advertising source. We advertise in Google Adwords, email marketing and banner advertising on various publisher websites. And I want to hold each channel accountable to performance.Tell me your thoughts and experiences. Thanks ADM.…
and I thought I would comment on your post...I noticed that the Kaywa generator you mentioned in your post does not support the iPhone, but it works perfectly with the iPhone depending on what Reader app you have. Users should understand the difference between the Generator and the reader as they could go through this list and think that one may be inferior to another and while that may be true for Readers, a dealership will probably rarely generate a QR Code FROM their phone but will always USE their phone to view it...
The Generator should have zero effect on the outcome IF the app is good. There are some apps out there that work slowly or not as well as others and people should understand that one has not much to do with the other. Generating a QR Code and reading one are different topics. Not to make this more confusing than it needs to be, but once a QR Code is done and the image is saved and used for re deployment, it's ultimately up to the consumer to pick the app to read it. With that said, maybe a list of readers that dealers could use to send to their customers is what may be important so that they can easily use the app to view the dealer's content/inventory/whatever.
I must admit I am partial to using QR Codes to view sales members reviews, but there are TONS of other ideas that will help dealers sell cars and genrate traffic to their properties. If anyone has a list of Readers that could be suggested I would think it would help this thread. Here are just 2 that I know of and use without issue:
1) Connect Me for iPhone by Top Floor Studios
2) Bakodo-Barcode Scanner and QR Code Reader.
Both work almost instantly and that is what is critical for a consumer.
Nice job on sharing info on QR Codes!…
es such as CARFAX and the national NICB.org database.
Before I release it to the world I'd love to get some feedback from people in the industry who might find it useful. To that end I'm looking for owners of the iPhone or an iPod Touch that would be willing to give the app a test drive. In exchange I'll provide you with a coupon code when it launches to get a copy of the app for free.
I've been working with CARFAX on future improvements and there'll be some real cool features added to the program over time. Get a chance to see the app before your competition does. :)
You can see a brief writeup on the app at my web site http://www.vinhunter.com. It's still being finalized, as are some of the branding logos and color schemes.
If you're interested in participating please drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I need an ID number from your device called a UUID. You can get this number by clicking on the serial number in iTunes when you have the phone selected.
