his lessons and proof on his theorical discourse, thus casting a very bright light into a now very dark corner.
Or perhaps they fear a bite from the rabid Alpha Dawg - afterall one of the symptoms of rabies after being bitten are Stress, Anxiety, and Tension. On second thought, I think Alpha Dawg may have already bit. Metaphorically and Theoretically speaking, of course.…

offering their cars. They have forced me to remove logos and pics and constantly threaten legal action. Yet I lease loads of new BMWs! I hate the way that people are being forced to conform.
The whole point of the web is to interact with customers - not many car dealers do this. Every site can be so different, but most seem to be the same boring clones.
That Witchita Suzuki site looks really great, I am sure customers do not click away. Me - I polarise visitors, for every one who "hates" my site, another loves it. Casting the widest possible net seems to mean being ultra-boring. No need for that, it is good to dare to be different. I count Seth Godin as a good friend who constantly urges making a difference, but most car manufacturers force dealers to make no difference at all.
So sad. Anything is possible.
ger offer this (MotorAlley is an old site that we plan to take down... our new site for directing any traffic such as from google base or oodle is http://bestdeals.neosynergy.net ).
We offered it for free at that basic level to get the amount of deals we have up... thinking that dealers would take advantage of free advertising. However, in order to manipulate the pricing after posting, and push inventory to the system automatically, all of our dealer customers felt the $500/mo fee was a good value.
I'll give you an example of a Nissan dealership using us in LA. They have gotten, for 22 deals they have posted on Best Deals that goes to AOL Autos, Google Base and various Gadgets and Oodle, 1,022 shoppers who viewed their ads and 47 phone calls to their dealership from those ads over the past 30 days alone.
Now compare our advertising price (limitless by the way by way of deals...add as many as you like) to say, printing an advert in the LA Times...there's no comparison. What would that add cost you... $5k for a half page with 22 vehicles in it? And that's a very abstract net they would be casting... with our service these are targeted shoppers.
Anyway...those are just a few thoughts.…
crunching numbers and telling others to "go forth" (which is usually followed by "and do as I say, not as I do!").
Leadership isn't about "me". It's about "us". It's about "follow me" and leading from the front, even when the stinky stuff hits the fan. It's about humility and taking responsibility and building trust. It's about casting a vision and the ability to get people to buy into that vision. (And no, simply regurgitating memorized "hype" lines doesn't mean someone has bought in. If you want to know if someone has truly bought in, watch how they work, especially when the going gets tough and stress levels go through the ceiling.)
I've worked in a number of different industries. Some of what I've seen go on in dealership-world is mind-boggling - the lack of training, the egos, the hours, the demands, the lack of structure...and on and on. And then dealers can't figure out why they have high turnover and / or are failing.
Get an experienced HR department (or HR service) and hire the absolute best people. Get those people proper (and on-going) training and provide fair compensation. Check your ego at the door. Respect your people and give credit where credit is due. Cast a real vision and get people to truly buy in to it. Then watch what happens...…
