Kim Clouse provides a service to dealers where he sets up video emails of each model talking to a customer who submitted a lead about why the car prefers to be sold by THAT dealership... It is a highly effective way to engage a customer and put your dealership at the top of their mind when they may be shopping several for their next vehicle purchase. Here's the ADM Mascot MINI talking car video that Kim created for the ADM Professional Community:

KEN BEAM'S POST WITH LIVE LINKS:

"Hey John,
I don`t chat on here very often, but thought I`d share a few links & show you how we have been effectively incorporating video for over three years now.

Here`s a few links for you to either click or copy & paste.

Explore all of our homepages here; www.DouglasAutoGroup.com

Now try this link; http://www.douglasvw.com/specials/preowned/

Ok.... Now click here http://www.douglasvw.com/preowned/ and under "This Weeks Featured Pre-owned Specials" click that Red EOS or Mitsubishi Eclipse

Now try this, let`s say we`re searching for a Brand New 2009 VW EOS, so you`d click here; http://www.douglasvw.com/new/ and now click on the EOS tab to the left and click any New 2009 EOS like this; http://www.douglasvw.com/new/vehicle-details.cfm?vin=WVWFA71F19V020356

Ok ...... here`s one more thing to share, now let`s go to good `ol Craigs List and click this link; http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/ctd/1230049945.html
*This is definitely NOT your normal CL ad & again, emphasizing the use of video.

We also do LIVE video testimonials; http://www.vwhotdeals.com/MiscPage_2

I do all of the video work in-house which is obviously very cost effective & I have the element of speed on my side, as I can lunch an entire sales campaign on our sites in a matter of hours & incorporate video to emphasize that particular sales event.

Hope you enjoyed some of my insight,"

Members, are you finding success leveraging Video SEO to get your website videos thumbnailed inside your webpage listings on the Google Search Results? Please discuss what measures you are finding that work for getting your relevant videos showcased in the SERP's. ie keyword tagging, video sitemaps, sitemap generators, etc

There are many different ways to utilize video. Much depends upon the image your dealership wants to present. Our company is more involved with professional video and relationship management. We will be adding picture to video in the near future.
Our "Two Minute Window" video for example is shot on location at your dealership. It involves both the sales and service departments with interviews of key personnel, and client testimonials. It is designed to make a prospect feel more comfortable about going to the dealership. Since most everyone begins their car shopping online, and many people have apprehension about the experience they will have at a dealership, this type of video eases their fears.

We also have a video portal - our VScreen. It is a video content management system...like YouTube on steriods....but with professionally done consumer content which can be embedded into emails. These can be sent to both prospects and current clients, as a way of keeping the name of the dealership in front of the client. The VScreen and all content video is branded to your dealership. Here is an example of a VScreen....

What are some of the ways dealers are using video on their websites? What's considered effective and what's considered ineffective?

Video is HOT right now! A few years ago dealerships with an Internet department were the exception, now it is the expectation. The same is now true for video. Progressive dealerships will embrace video now and profit from it.
