My thoughts are similar to Patrick's about FB...a little more tongue-in-cheek:

FB is for the people you'd like to forget; twitter is for people you'd like to meet.

I just started using Twitter:

Hi Guys. Some familiar faces here. Patrick thanks for the invite.

The Twitter line for AutoConversion is @autoconversion.

We use Twitter strictly for updating our members. It's like a time line for us where our members can check the Twitter line every once in a while to cherry-pick information relevant to them. The intention is to cut back on the need for email.

Well the professional friends I have on facebook I put in a special friends list that has less visibility of my facebook profile. So they can't see very much.

But I do agree with you!

But then again my life is all work anyways... that is my passion. There is no distinction for me :-)

I've tried the Facebook/Twitter app, but have found myself using the networks for two different purposes. For me:

Facebook = Family and Friends
LinkedIn and Twitter = Professional relationships

I find combing social networks can make the volume too loud by creating unnecessary noise. Anyone else separating these social channels?

By the way, the FaceBook Twitter application is awesome. Makes it simple to update your status in one place and have it update in both

I love this. @salestherapist

I see the potential in sales and in fixed ops but SMS text does the same thing...

Please share any success stories about how you are using Twitter to build relationships. I've connected with many ADM members over the past few weeks through Twitter and am wondering how others are using it to connect.

Good idea Patrick!

I'll be sure to follow everyone in this group as I'm sure everyone else will do the same.
