With the end of the year a little more than a month a way, what are you and or your business doing to ensure that you finish 2012 strong?

Automobile Trainers/Vendors...Question for all of you: How often while at a dealership doing what you do are you asked a question concerning hiring salespeople, staffing their BDC or internet dept? The question you get asked could be as straight forward as I need more or better salespeople, where and how do I get them or as vague as I don't have the right people to achieve what I need to achieve to sell more cars and make more gross...."If I just had a couple more "studs" I'd be set.How often are you asked about other positions as well...from Porters to Presidents?

Jason,

Just so you can see that there ARE dealers who agree with you 100%, check out the following sites... I had to add a new Dealer Community I discovered which was built by an ADM member, Richard Klepach:

1. Ford-Community.com
2. SandersonCommunity.com
3. San-Tan-Ford.com
4. TysingerCommunity.ning.com

The Tysinger Community site is very impressive. Richard set it up for his dealership's customers, employees and suppliers... There are so few people that really understand the value in creating an online dealership community when it is not just to sell, sell, sell today! I know that Tysinger's customers, the dealership employees and the suppliers that the Tysinger stores use will appreciate the work on Richard's part.

It would be great if Richard would publish on ADM anything that he sees or notices in regards to making a dealership Web 2.0 type site work or not work... I will participate as much as I can, and will be sure to let anyone in Tysinger's area know about their dealership community, and their efforts at carving out a new customer relationship development and management model...

For the SandersonCommunity.com site, I downloaded about 10,000 names and email addresses from their ILM, then uploaded them into the Ning invite system and sent them out... If I had to do it over again, I would have broken up those 10,000 emails into 10 seperate files and spaced out the invitations at 1,000 per week for 10 weeks.

Kudos Stan, I agree! I would also like to see them createing their own social networking sites i.e. through Ning. This would be a great way to market to current and future customers. They just need someone that will be dedicated like you to work the site.

I looked at all three and they are awesome. Great Job Ralph.

In regards to the power of Social Networking, how about starting by taking a look at:

1. www.Ford-Community.com
2. www.SandersonCommunity.com
3. www.San-Tan-Ford.com

Look at how each design pulls in content, how many members each site has and then make suggestions on how to build better versions on this same platform for other dealers...

You can begin by telling everyone how to harnedd the power of social networking.
