Automobile Trainers/Vendors...Question for all of you: How often while at a dealership doing what you do are you asked a question concerning hiring salespeople, staffing their BDC or internet dept? The question you get asked could be as straight forward as I need more or better salespeople, where and how do I get them or as vague as I don't have the right people to achieve what I need to achieve to sell more cars and make more gross...."If I just had a couple more "studs" I'd be set.How often are you asked about other positions as well...from Porters to Presidents?

Very good point Phil. Apologies, I am forgetting that this is a group, not simply a single discussion.

Well deserved Brian, so you are welcome and thank you for your participation and shared insights / solutions.

One suggestion for you and other current and pending member / contributors to this group though. I suggest that you post a discussion on your insights and solutions so we can build on your platform by adding positive and/or negative feedback to help you - help us - help our auto dealer clients sell more vehicles.

After all, what are friends for!

Hi Brian,

As most of ADM knows, http://dealmaker.com is a preferred vendor on AdAgencyOnline.Net and a valued vendor client of Ad Agency Online. I share your vision and value for a market driven online transaction consumated through an open interaction / negotiation between many sellers and many buyers using your proprietary granular inventory comparison and communication tool.

Relevancy and transparency is critical for newly empowered customers who seek information before relationships with the ability to mature both at the customer's pace and control vs. the auto dealer that has been in charge in the past. This group is the perfect audience to recognize and respect OUR vision in this regard.

With that confidence in mind, I suggest that you add a link to demo your platform, some more details on the unique methods that you apply and let's open the opportunity for potential vendor partners seeking to enhance their individual applications, channel partners to facilitate marketing and distribution, data partners to sopport and power the site and/or investors that are willing to join us in taking DealMaker.Com to the American market and to develop the position that it deserves for tomorrow's online shoppers and auto dealers.

After all, what are friends for!

The car buying process is changing. 90% of new car buyers now start shopping online. Then they visit car dealerships, and then over half of them come back online looking for dealers who want to make a deal online.

The percentages vary from country to country but that's my vision, and now also reality according to one of the world largest auto industry consultants. See the last 2 of 11 annual international surveys. at http://macdax.com/cg.pdf (08/09) and then http://macdax.com/cg10.pdf (09/10). These copies are highlighted and linked straight to the facts for a faster read.

I would be pleased to discuss any views on this subject
