Great story K_Man......I think I heard this from Stuker or one of my first Mgr's years ago......count the number of times you pick up a phone and dial and divide that number into the commission earned so it worked out like everytime I picked up the phone I was making 15 cents lol....good way t look at things...

Ican agree Craig Ifeel so good when I train salespeople who show the interest and intract and roleplay in th training classes Ias well as all trainers want to develop them into well rounded professionals but every now and then you get some people that refuse or shy away from your methods but Ifigure that the majority follow the lead and practice drill and rehearse all they can to be all they can be There always will be some distractions but they like anything else have a solution . I remember one guy yrs ago at a large group of trainees and experienced salespeople was totally against being trained he claimed it was a forest and could do his own self training . Well I spoke with him and told him at one time when i was young in the buisness after selling menswear in a really large store that my ego was unsurpassed too , however selling clothing , appliances, furniture, housing , whatever all have a different system So after two weeks of daily traiing and coaching he finally came around and started selling 20 to 30 units pr month and on a progression scale wound up being salesperson of the month for 24 straight months . averaging 30 to 40 pr month some were mini's some above average and some home runs too so he learned to take the good with the bad . I explained to him the only way he could truly see how much hisearnings were isafter the first 90 days ake a chart and wrie down each task performed daily IE, phone calls, letters, post cards, face to face demos write ups trial closes closes delivieies etc etc and break it all down and you wil find out soon enoght how much money you earn per task well after 2 yrs he wound up earning close to 200 thousnad dollars pr yr and and each task paid something like 50 to 75 dollars he never wnated to be in mgmt till this day he still keeps records of each task performed and still loves his job and earns great money . I am proud to have trained him and I am so proud of his accomplishments. We still keep in touch say at least once a quarter and I ask him for his opinions on my training program .

One of the coolest things I have experienced is walking into a dealership anywhere and running into an AutoMax Graduate and have them tell their story of the day they started their training,who their trainer was,and best of all,years later what they have achieved and their genuine gratitude.......very cool
