Share Your Opinion

I would love to engage this community by asking all members to share their favorite mobile website technology for car dealers.  If you recommend a mobile site, please give the URL and the reason why you like the mobile website.

Also, if your dealership has a custom mobile app or an app that you purchased from a vendor, share what you love about it.

Your input is important.  If you are heading to Las Vegas, reserve your tickets to the Awards Ceremony and VIP Reception following.  You can reserve tickets at the official AWA Website at http://www.automotivewebsiteawards.com

Based on years of experience and my own personal opinion, Gumiyo is well established and makes the best platform for both mobile website landing pages, mobile marketing and SMS text campaigns.

I'll be watching this one closely, because although our sites are optimized for mobile and we can text people through our CRM, we are looking at mobile companies in order to do more...  Thanks for the post Brian.

Ralph, I'll take a look at Gumiyo.  Thanks!

Ralph, are any dealers you know of using Gumiyo?
Brian - As Mike points out below, because Gumiyo is the Mobile Web Marketing platform for application developers, sort of like Microsoft Windows is an operating system, many dealers use Gumiyo and do not know it... For example, Reynolds Web Solutions Mobile marketing apps are built on Gumiyo, as are HomeNet's and a few other large dealer suppliers.

Thanks Ralph.

What I was hoping is that ADM members who have mobile sites from the automotive vendors in our industry would share their thoughts about their mobile sites.

If dealers are using apps from Homenet, Reynolds, etc. I would also love to get feedback on how they are using the app and their thoughts on next gen app solutions.

I hope more ADM end users will share..

Brian - Here is the case study on Gumiyo's implementation by the Herb Chambers Automotive Group: http://corporate.gumiyo.com/partner-showcase/51-2/

Great subject! Having worked years in digital advertising for both ADP, BZ and Trader, I remember reading previously Gumiyo mobile may have been resold through partnership under some of the big auto digital marketing agency packages, so my guess would be there may be many dealers who have had mobile through Gumiyo at one time or another and may not be aware.

Maybe more info here? http://www.gumiyo.com:81/corporate/partners/

As Im with a competing mobile web provider now, for impartiality I will just pass this thread along to a few of my dealer clients as they may have interest and hopefully will participate in the discussion.

I would like to see some of the cool ideas though dealers may be implementing for QR code and SMS campaigns if anyone has examples.

Mike - Thank you for sharing your insights into this space... We would like to hear more about your company's products that would be relevant to car dealers.

Gumiyo opens new offices in Chicago & Hamburg

July 15th, 2011 by jefrice

Woodland Hills, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2011 — Gumiyo ( http://www.gumiyo.com ), a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions, is very pleased to announce the expansion of their business with new branches in Chicago, Illinois and Hamburg, Germany.

Gumiyo has a long history of working with clients and consultants in the Greater Chicago area. Their new office in Chicago will further enhance their business relationships, and will bring the Gumiyo team’s expertise even closer to these business communities.

“We saw a need and an opportunity to bring the Chicago area a local support and sales resource,” said the co-founder and CEO, Shuki Lehavi. “With our new branch, we’ll be able to provide our clients more of the personal service Gumiyo is know for.”

In addition to the new branch in Chicago, Gumiyo is adding a regional sales office to its growing international presence. With well-established offices throughout Australia, Singapore and South Africa, Gumiyo has extended its reach around the world. In addition to having a number of large clients in Northern Germany, Hamburg provides an ideal central location to serve the whole of Europe.

“Gumiyo has been aggressively expanding its sales reach throughout Asia and Africa and Europe is a logical next step for us,” says Rich Abronson, co-founder and VP, Agency & Media Services.

Gumiyo will maintain their current headquarters in Woodland Hills, California – and they look forward to continuing to flourish in an ever-growing mobile industry.

About Gumiyo (www.gumiyo.com)
Gumiyo is a mobile solutions company and provider of the Mobile Ready Platform, a flexible suite of tools and services that enables nearly any business to combine iPhone applications, SMS, and the Mobile Web to:

• Launch a consumer-facing mobile presence
• Publish data, content, inventory and listings to mobile phones
• Run comprehensive mobile marketing campaigns

As one of the earliest entrants in the field of mobile classifieds and mobile marketing solutions; Gumiyo has built a reputation for expertise in mobile-based programming and strategic planning, mobile content development and monetization, and mobile execution strategies for newspapers and media companies, retail automotive solutions providers, real estate professionals, and marketing agencies.

I'll second Ralph in the fact that Gumiyo was truly the first ones in our segment preaching the advantages of text long before others.  They've always seemed like the most well-rounded provider.

I'm looking forward to the AWA in Vegas as well.

Brian.I know this will not qualify as a nominee for your awards and I am a relatively new member to this group..Just thought I would throw some new information in here..I have been working with a fairly unique Mobile Platform Development Company out of Vancouver Canada, who have been more prominent in developing major mobile sites in the Hospitality and tourisim industry in Canada (They Developed the Vancouver Winter Olympics Mobile site and are also Developing the London Olympics Mobile site) They are now applying their companies unique and proprietary technology into the Automotive Dealership space with a Joint Venture Agreement with my company.. http://www.allscenes.com

What make this companies Mobile technology so unique is how the content can be developed and deployed so quickly and professionally across all major smartphone OS's and devices Iphones, Droids, Blackberrys, Ipads, tablets etc..You can see some examples of this Mobile Platform technology on your samrtphones with a small indendendent used car Dealership here in San Diego. http://www.allscenes.com/millenniummotorssd/index.tsp

They have also applied this same Mobile technology to both Craigslist & Backpage Classified Postings..You can view these on your smartphones here..Just Click on the Top Banner of the Ads for the "Mobile Smartphone Version" http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/ctd/2569364567.html and
