Collection of people is more important than data- best quote in article. It is fun collecting knowledge thru data and everyone has done that at one time or another. But when you collect people you collect wisdom and the ability to get answers to questions faster and can ask again to clarify further.
Dealers need to collect people and learn how to..plain and simple. Not just the people who may buy their cars- but the people closest to them , really connect with employees, suppliers, local community, and make them fans first it will have the biggest impact. Extend your reach and message is very important- it not the 300 million or 1 billion on facebook that maybe there in a few more years, it is the 2,000 or 200 or 20 or 2 at first that can get you started... you found them yet?
I believe this 100%.

Google just release Google Wave and I've been excited for the release. Regardless of its hyped up features, I have to admit, I'm not sold on it yet.

Twitter though? Absolutely great. It's mobility, convenience and number of people using it spell success for the folks at Twitter and Facebook alike.

Making a one-on-one connection with someone is priceless, and Twitter/Facebook make it all possible.
Not by a long shot.... this is what everyone said about Ebay, Craigslist, Myspace.. etc.. what happens is, too many people benefit from getting over on others... and programs are written to take the place of humans, and then everything is one giant commercial.. then it dies.
