Loading... Be Patient!

So after hours and hours of searching, I have finally found the TrueCar booth at NADA.  You'll notice that transparency seems to be their NADA theme.

Are you ready for the picture?

Wait until you get a load of their booth.

Are you sure you want to see this?

This is your last chance to exit before witnessing the TrueCar spectacle.

hilarious Jerry!

Painter still doesn't Get It, does he? The tone of his latest interview, still talking down too us, lecturing about what the consumer wants and he is the salvation and the answer because we're stupid. Admitting he was a bad guy in the past but he's come to repent and be baptized in the love of car people. Do we have a "Trust" issue with him?

"Look, I realize that some people feel, because of my past at Cars-Direct, that this is an anti-dealer play. It’s not. This is about fundamentally recognizing that the consumer has changed how they shop, and we believe that this is one of the most important tools for dealership profitability and growth in the future."

Scott Painter, F&I Mag, Today's issue:

"Look, I realize that some people feel, because of my past at Cars-Direct, that this is an anti-dealer play. It’s not. This is about fundamentally recognizing that the consumer has changed how they shop, and we believe that this is one of the most important tools for dealership profitability and growth in the future."

My parody translation:  "Look, I may have attempted to do some pretty crappy things to dealer's in the past with CarsDirect, and yes I was forced by the board to step down....that aside, trust me, this is different."

Thomas I love your translation of painter's double-talk... JIM

That's funny

I appreciate your time and effort into finding their booth.  I guess I was wrong in saying that they weren't going to be there.

LoL - Not that I looked for their booth, but this is funny, Jerry. You are really a Ninja.

Par!

I've never cared or even thought about how anyone conducted their business before, it's their business & none of mine UNLESS in interferes with my business. I started keeping records about 4 months ago & we've had 22 clients with "true car" certificates in that time. ONE yes ONE out of 22 people got "the deal" & two of them were switched to used cars the rest were bait & switch SCAMS! I did get most of the other deals but the problem is the time, I just don't have it. I spent over 20 years explaining to people that KBB is in the advertising business NOT the car business & I don't have another 20 years. I put together a massive package & am sending it to EVERYONE manufacturers, dealers, DMV's in 48 states, us attorney general also the attorney general of each state & anyone else I can think of. First batch went out & I think they are about to be dealt a huge blow by mercedes in CA. I also think that you will see a MASS exodus of dealers in CA & not just mercedes. I've talked to 100's of dealers & they're universally trying to distance themselves from these guys. Not sure yet if what they're doing is legal (there are definitely some issues) but it's unethical to say the least. It's just a scam people are smarter than given credit for they will figure it out...they already are.

That's it? They have a $150 million dollar agreement with Yahoo and this is their booth? They forgot that their real customers were the dealers, since the dealers are the ones paying for the service.

Jerry I laughed so hard I cried when I saw this... Thank you for posting! I agree with Greg Johnson... They forgot who the real customer was...
