We are coming up to the Fall Conference season with Sean Bradley's Dealer Synergy Sessions in Atlanta, J. D. Power's Automotive Internet Roundtable (AIR) in Las Vegas, and Mike Roscoe's Digital Dealer Conference in Nashville, along with several other digital marketing related events coming up one right after the next... All leading up to the grand finale, the big NADA Conference in February 2010. Which ones do you plan on attending and why?

Personally, I feel enormously privileged to be participating in 2 of my perennial favorites; Digital Dealer in Nashville, and the J. D. Power and Associates AIR event in Las Vegas... Plus, for the first time since the 2007 AutoSuccess Magazine event in Las Vegas, I will be facilitating a workshop at the Dealer Synergy Sessions that are in Atlanta this year. So, I am obviously biased and would recommend all three conferences for dealers and managers... But, I believe each is different and have variations on what benefits they each offer to automotive digital marketing professionals.

What's your opinion? Would love to see ADM professionals chime in on which ones they plan to attend and why...

I think all three are exciting and will have something new to offer. What Synergy Sessions will cover is completely different from Digital Dealer will cover. There will be different speakers and masters at each event teaching new ideas. The people that make it out to all of the listed events will be much better versed and educated to come back to their stores and really make a difference. Each event brings a lot of value. I think the only problem is to consider which one to attend. Dealers are not going to be able to go to all 3 in a row.

Wow... I feel like someone who I thought was a friend is having a party and I was not invited and just found out about it. I had to pull over in by 4x4 Expedition inside the parking garage at the PHX airport because I was so shocked when I saw Joe Webb's post. The DIvingSales Executive Summit from Jared Hamilton... Who I thought was my friend, but who didn't invite me... Bummer. I feel like a piece of trash, like the time I got too drunk at a varsity football team party at my best friend's cabin near his family dairy farm and fell in a pile of cow manure, only to pass out... Hey, it was warm and soft! And my team mates just left me there and took off. I woke up when the roosters started their racket. Man, did I smell foul!

C'mon Jared... No invite, not even a phone call!

Oh well, I guess one is only as good as his last deal in the cruelly harsh world of automotive evangelism.

They haven't invited anyone yet, Ralph. They just announced it a few weeks ago, but haven't spoken to many about it. Don't get too upset. I am just assuming the invite. Like any good salesperson assuming the sale, I have faith that I will be invited and will plan on attending.

You are correct, each event is VERY different from each other... I have been a General Assembly Speaker for Digital Dealer as well as have been a speaker for J.D. Power & Associates...

We all like to get a good discount, and I am excited about how the contest is going to work. I have a couple of ideas. Last time you and I spoke it seemed that you have done a ton of work with Video SEO and other online video marketing tactics... What would you think about having a contest where ADM members upload videos by a certain deadline date, and then the video which gets the most views on ADM (there is a counter) within the contest period wins the free trip?

The idea of an all expense paid trip to your Dealer Synergy Sessions is exciting and could be a lot of fun...

Since you are paying the tab for this trip, I think it is only fair that you set the guidelines for the video... But, to be fair, it needs to be something that any ISM in a dealership could create using a $250 Flipcam.
