As a "car guy" turned "ad guy" I have now turned to Internet based technologies and the sales/digital marketing processes that they represent to maximize the R.O.I. for the affiliated automotive advertising agencies and auto dealer clients of
Ad Agency Online. L.L.C. In today's shrinking auto industry dealers are challenged to deliver more with less. Less staff to reduce cost of sales expenses and smaller / fewer brick and mortar facilities to reduce fixed expenses like rent or debt service on a mortgage. All of this is in response to reduced profit margins brought about by a more educated consumer driven by the real need to reduce their expenses as much as the dealers are trying to control theirs in today's troubled economy.
The solution for both customers and dealers can be found on the World Wide Web - where the customers are. Internet showrooms have no rent or mortgage and they have access to leveraged resources that provide more information to the customer with a marketing platform for the auto dealer that extends well beyond their real world foot print to attract drive by customers on the Internet Super Highway instead of auto row.
Of course anyone that is a member of ADM already knows this and they are likely working in a virtual showroom. This forum is intended to broaden your horizons beyond your own dealer's web sites to sell more cars and service. One way is by placing your inventory on the search engines through the use of automated video production applications that post your vehicles one at a time on You Tube as their own "microsites" that are fully indexable and interactive. Another solution is to post your inventory on 3rd party inventory based websites that offer "one stop sites" with competing brands, models and prices along with linked social networking sites that provide transparency and information beyond that of any single dealer in either the real or the virtual world.
I will start this forum with two representative vendor applications that I represent and recommend to my affiliated automotive advertising agencies and auto dealer clients as well as site visitors to
AdAgencyOnline.Net. Of course there are a number of equally impressive applications and inventory sites that are represented on ADM and/or that are being used by the auto dealers in the community so I suggest that they join in by adding them as replies to this thought starter. After all, what are friends for!
Preferred Video Production Vendor:
SiSTeR Technologies Video CarLot - PushTube - vShock - Yuti. This platform takes the still pictures from your site from a variety of sources and produces professional quality videos with human voice as well as real time video clips, graphics, interactive banners and selected comparable vehicles from your inventory on a shared "microsite" and then places them on any 3rd party advertising site that you direct them to. They then push them onto the search engines through their dedicated API to You Tube. Check out their next generation application that does all of the above plus much more! (HINT - think vSEM!)
Preferred 3rd Party Inventory Web Site: :
EveryCarListed.Com is now owned by Idearc and fueled by the SuperPages with more organic exposure on the World Wide Web than you can imagine! They offer FREE postings for your entire inventory on their site complimented by enhanced marketing packages for a relatively nominal fee to extend your presence that include a variety of state of the art conversion tools - including their own video solution - as well as a customer friendly and transparent site with a linked social networking site -
AutoIndustryInsights.com.
AutoIndustryInsights.com is a "network of networkers" that is linked to other auto industry social networking platforms including ADM,
DrivingSales.Com,
AskPatty.Com,
AdAgencyOnline.Net and blogging sites by Joe Webb and Gilbert Chavez from DealerKnows and Scott Monty from Ford Motor Co.. Their adisory panel consists of Ralph Paglia, Philip Zelinger - that's me, Jared hamilton, Jody Devere, Joe Webb, Gilbert Chavez and Scott Monty who share their thoughts on an included section - Auto Industry Insiders - check it out!
All of these solutions allow a dealer to extend their online presence and approach customers who go online to avoid car dealers - including you!.
OK - now it is your turn to suggest some other video solutions and 3rd party sites to add to the list or perhaps share your thoughts on the ones that I have listed as examples. We can all use some help so do your part. After all, what are friends for!
