Dale Carnegie wrote one of the best guides that I have ever read.  Whether you have read the game-changing book How To Win Friends and Influence People or not, be sure that the principles discussed in this book are very valuable.  The best part about this book is the bonus Dale Carnegie Golden Book written to compliment his masterpiece.  One glance in this nugget below and you will quickly be reminded how to win friends and influence people.  How valuable is this information when attempting to sell a product or service?

How many times have you read a great book and quickly forgotten more of it than you remember?  As with anything, repetition is key to learning.  Unfortunately, who has time to re-read a huge book multiple times?  Dale Carnegie thought of that.  He published this mini nine page Golden Book to keep us on track long after we read his book.  I highly recommend finding a copy of this to keep in your back pocket!

As a teaser, here is one of my favorite principles as written on page 3 of my Golden Book.  "10. The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it."  In the book, Dale Carnegie outlines how arguing is pointless and will not advance you closer to your goals.  He even explains why this is true.  

Here is Auto iLead's Principle 10:

Many of you have been in the car business a long time and for you this principle may come naturally.  However, as I travel from store to store working with numerous individuals, this is commonly the most abused principle out of the 30 in the Golden Book.  Sales person after sales person bristles and argues and briefly wonders what is wrong with their customer.  He or she quickly blames the customer and moves on to their next challenge without taking any responsibility for their self-inflicted catastrophe.  Great news, it can be avoided.  Try Principle 10 and avoid arguments.

My area of specialty is generating positive email responses from your current and prospective clients.  As a bonus, I invite you to ponder Principle 10 when you write emails.  You have no control and no feedback.  Again, do not engage in an argument.  Rule #1 for gaining a positive response is don't argue.  There are numerous other rules, but tell everyone you know not to argue.  This is a great start.  YOU CAN'T WIN!!!  Don't even try to argue with me in the comments here.  I won't take your bait.  :)
