WomenCertified® Launches Dealer Recognition Program with Research Powered by JD Power & Associates WomenCertified® has launched a Dealer Recognition Program, with research powered by J.D. Power and Associates.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
...PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 13, 2011 – Hollywood, FL - According to WomenCertified, recent research shows that women influence more than 95% of automotive purchasing decisions and control more than 83% of all consumer spending. Ninety percent of women believe that men receive better treatment at a dealership, and 77% of women will not enter a dealership without a man to accompany them for support. These statistics are compelling and demonstrate the need for dealerships to enhance the sales and service experience in ways that cater to the unique needs and preferences of women. WomenCertified contends that if you satisfy the needs of women, you will exceed the expectations of men.
The WomenCertified® Dealer Recognition Award, with research powered by J.D. Power, will offer dealerships:
• Use of the WomenCertified Seal Award in all Marketing • Turn-key Marketing and Advertising Materials • Online Selling to Women Training • Monthly Sales and Marketing Reinforcement Tools • Searchable Business Profile on WomenCertified.com
When a company bears the WomenCertified seal, it serves as a third-party endorsement that women can trust and a welcome signal for those seeking a women friendly dealership. In today’s cluttered marketplace, WomenCertified is the competitive differentiator – and a recognition that can only come with exceptional customer service and a solid reputation.
Delia Passi, founder of WomenCertified® and CEO of Medelia, Inc., stated, “J.D. Power is the most recognized and respected brand when it comes to customer satisfaction measurement in the U.S., and we are honored that they have embraced the customer needs of women through our arrangement. The WomenCertified program not only provides customers with the promise of improved customer service, but will also allow women, the gatekeepers for purchasing decisions for the family, to identify dealerships that are eager to meet her higher standards.”
“We are pleased to provide the methodology and research standards for the WomenCertified program, which is designed to recognize those auto retailers that excel at delivering customer satisfaction excellence. We believe this program provides a key differentiator for auto retailers in this important market segment,” said Chris Sutton, director of automotive retail service at J.D. Power and Associates.

This sounds like a great program. I started in this industry 25 years ago because I was shopping for a car, had enough money in my purse to pay half cash with great credit. I found the car I wanted...salesman told me to go home and get my Daddy! I asked for the manager, was told basically the same thing as he stared down at me from the tower. I didn't stop there. I tracked down the absentee owner, enlightened him with statistics about female buying power (yes,it was strong a quarter century ago) and his store's antiquated mentality. Long story short...ended up creating an in house ad agency and a rocking BDC department for his five dealerships.
