I was reading the press release today about Camping World extending their title sponsorship of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  You maybe thinking, yeah so?  Well, at the end of the release there's also mention of another part of the extension deal.  Here's what's buried deep in the end of the release, 

  "Additionally, the new agreement provides official NASCAR status to two growing automobile companies; CarCash as the Official Auto Buying Service of NASCAR, and AutoMatch USA, as the Official Pre-owned Automobile Retailer of NASCAR. CarCash, featured on Season 1 of CNBC's The Profit, purchases used cars from individuals in return for immediate cash. AutoMatch USA, featured on Season 2 of CNBC's The Profit, specializes in the sale of foreign and domestic pre-owned cars of all makes and models."


AutoMatch USA currently has two locations, Chicago and Jacksonville.  Only two locations, and they are the Pre-Owned Automobile Retailer of NASCAR!  For those who aren't familiar with The Profit, or the man who's the Profit in the show, Marcus Lemonis.  Why if you've never heard of AutoMatch USA, and you soon will.  Is because Marcus Lemonis originally started in the automobile business, and then became the CEO of Camping World.  In 2004, the original company Freedom Roads, now referred to as Camping World, went across the country and purchased multiple RV dealerships.  They continued their buying spree to 100 locations, and seriously disrupted the RV industry!  They are the number one retailer of motorhomes and towables in the country.  The company has grown to over $3 billion in revenue, and all that growth was achieved with Marcus Lemonis at the helm.  Now Marcus has invested in AutoMatch USA, and yes right now they only have two locations, however the storm is coming for the used car market!

Back to NASCAR part, the hottest truck race of the season is the race at Eldora Speedway.  Guess who's the title sponsor of the race?  1800CarCash Midsummer Classic is the title of the race.  How long before Automatch USA is the title sponsor of an event?  Probably next year I would speculate.  For those who dismiss NASCAR as a redneck sport, boring, cars going in circles, or any other opinions.  The business side of NASCAR is huge!  An estimated 80m plus follow the sport!  With AutoMatch NASCAR partnership, Automatch USA is going to be able to fast track their name with consumers to those 80m followers.  Again, disruption is coming to the auto industry!

automatch logoMarcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World Inc. and Good Sam Enterprises Inc., announced plans to open additional AutoMatch USA SuperCenters in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Fort Myers, Fla., in late this summer.

According to a press release, AutoMatch USA, a pre-owned auto dealership, specializes in foreign and domestic pre-owned cars of all makes and models, parts, accessories, service and collision.

“We have the key elements necessary to build a robust pre-owned car business that we expect to grow in various markets over time,” said Lemonis, who also stars on CNBC’s The Profit. “My primary objective is to change the way customers shop for quality, pre-owned cars by offering a full service auto buying experience with sales, service and accessories.”

Customers receive customized Good Sam services such as extended service warranty, financing, insurance and roadside assistance. The first location opened in Chicago in January and was featured on The Profit. The second location recently celebrated its grand opening in Jacksonville, Fla., in April.

Lemonis began his career in the automotive industry and eventually became vice president of several auto dealerships in the Miami, Fla., area. Over the past 10 years, Lemonis has streamlined the RV industry, buying more than 100 RV companies from “mom and pop” dealerships across the country and turning them into Camping World RV SuperCenters.

Marcus Lemonis announces additional Automatch locations coming soon!

  Marcus Lemonis, chairman and CEO of Camping World Inc. and Good Sam Enterprises LLC, and star of CNBC’s The Profit, announced today (June 18) plans to open new AutoMatch USA SuperCenters in Bakersfield, Calif., and Avondale, Ariz., in late summer and/or early fall along with a new location in Ocala, Fla., by the end of 2014.

The expansion news comes on the heels of a recent announcement that additional AutoMatch USA SuperCenters would be opening in Salt Lake City, Utah and Fort Myers, Fla., in late summer 2014 after successful openings in the Chicago and Jacksonville markets.
