Professional Community for Car Dealers, Marketing, Advertising and Sales Leaders
Happy Friday ADM!
Let's have a discussion about maximizing ROI with Craigslist. In the old days, we used to Hammer Craigslist with ads for vehicles as often as possible, we'd generally post in the ballpark of 400 to 1,500+ ads/month per client, depending on the # of inventory. As an analyst & marketer, I've been tracking the Craigslist market place since the big change on the 3rd and have seen an increase in call volume for most of our clients along with an average 90% decrease in ads across all Craigslist markets.
Now that there is a $5.00 cost to post, my clients still see the value in posting to Craigslist but require a more strategic approach. While ads are remaining more visible for longer, and CL seems to have added features for better search results, I still speak to a lot of dealerships whom are refusing to advertise on CL.
As digital marketers, what kind of things have you been seeing and what solutions have you implemented as part of your Marketing strategy? Since the change, are you finding Craigslist a viable resource for leads? Are you still recommending it for clients?
My software team has been busy completing development of our inventory management & posting interface and we're looking for more early adapters to try us out. What kind of things have you been seeing out there?
If you're interested in a demo of our software feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll be happy to help you out!
Best Regards & Happy Holidays,
