Ok Guys, I know this seems like a very basic question but I am looking for some feedback and standards amoung Internet managers out there.
What customer do you count as "Internet" Sales each month? Meaning obviously email leads but what else - trackable calls, logged as internet walk-ins (by floor staff) etc.
How do you decide what goes in to your bucket and your ROI reports, CRM reports etc?
I am hoping to get some responses to see what other dealers are doing and what we can learn from each of you. Please share you thoughts....

Very simple, the idea of the Internet Dept/BDC is to bring in traffic that otherwise wouldn't just walk in the door. So, at my store I count Customers that Email/Chat etc. and Phone ups from the website/cars.com/autotrader. I have those phone numbers ring directly to my desk. You are going to always have walk-in traffic that can be sourced to the Internet, and I show those numbers in a different report, but don't count it as part of the number that my bonus is based on.
