We are getting different feedback regarding Google Place phone number and website phone number.  This is my understanding.  Your Google Places phone number should be local.  Your phone number on your website should be the same as your Google Places phone number and should be in text format, at the top of your website.  What if you want to track calls using an 800#?  Also, should the website on Google Places match the website name exactly?   For example-Google Places name is ABC Ford, but website name is ABC Motors.  Appreciate your comments.

Hi Lisa,

You can display the tracking number on your website. However, you will need to keep the local phone number, address and business as it appears on the major listings on the website as well. It should be in a format that is easy for SEs to read. You can ask your web vendor to make sure they are displayed in Rich Text format on every page. Its fairly easy to implement.

Here are some resources -

Hope this helps.

Appreciate the info.  Thanks!
