Fairlane Ford of Dearborn, MI decided to showcase just their service center, for which they have a separate Google+ Local directory page. Google 360 spins are a great way to improve your local search ranking for your new car sales but it doesn't need to stop there.
If you don't have a separate location or directory page for your service center then you can still showcase your service department by embedding the tour on your website with the service center as a starting point. You can start a Google spin from any location or perspective and embed as many of them as you want for free. Links can also be created to start from any location and can be emailed to customers so they can get a clear understanding of exactly where they need to go.
You can check out Fairlane Ford's spin by clicking on the "see inside" image on their directory page.
Here's the inside of our showroom and service area:
What's funny about this is we were the first business in Wichita to have this feature, but Google still doesn't have an up to date picture of our building from the street--in their picture, there is no building! We've been running now for 5 years! Get with it, Google car! :-p
This is very impressive. It was a fun experience to virtually walk through your showroom and service drive.
The service waiting area/cafe seem extremely comfortable and customer friendly. I caught myself checking out the SX4 WRC in the showroom. Keeping an Etch A Sketch on each table is an awesome idea for the kids!
Have any customers or prospects commented on this?
Thanks! We did have one person spot the shark hiding somewhere in the picture, but amazingly, no one has commented on our salesperson wearing the cheese head. Funny what people notice! Are you going to implement this feature at your organization?
Although it is a great idea, the showroom and service drive of a dealership may be a little more exciting than the cubicles at our software firm :)
Keep up the good work and feel free to call or email me anytime if you have questions about your CRM.
I appreciate that! And I will be taking you up on your offer. We might need to talk about the spelling of our last names, as well. :-D
