Anyone else (at the dealership level) had poor results from FB?
Receiving poor results with Facebook advertising is an individual issue. The ads require precise uniqueness and targeting. It is a local dealer responsibility, not GM's. The other thing is, their ads change in price, due to their auction type of format. I would've pulled my dollars out of that investment too at $10 million. Very smart move. Makes great business sense.
I agree that poor results with Facebook advertising is an individual issue. Is that Facebook's fault or GM's fault? I tend to blame the advertiser, not the medium. GM made their strategy, not Facebook. You must first understand the medium before you jump in and produce faux pas. I respect GM but I think this goes beyond selling cars.
