Professional Community for Car Dealers, Marketing, Advertising and Sales Leaders
I'd like to encourage ADM members to invest in educating their team. It is just that simple; invest in education or fall behind. The good news is that dealers have MORE choices and dates to attend high quality educational events.
Investments in education empower dealer staff to reach new "highs" in their personal and professional life. Attending conferences keeps your dealership one step ahead of the competition.
What is that worth?? With Google changing their services every 30 days lately, can you afford not to send your key people away to make sure your marketing strategy is still relevant?
I love that fact that there are MORE opportunities throughout the year to send your team to educational events. Everyone has their own priorioties and schedule, so take a look and see which dates work best for your calendar.
The key is to INVEST in education. That means you should be attending at least one of the Fall Conferences to get updated with the latest ideas, strategies, and case studies that will propel your dealership to the next level.
I want to commend April Rain (Ignite Dealer Summit) and Jim Ziegler (Internet Battle Plan) for creating new events that are regionally located to assist dealers who may not have the budget to pay for airfare and conference fees.
I am also looking forward to speaking at the 2011 DrivingSales Executive Summit in Las Vegas. Hats off to Jared Hamilton for attracting the TOP speakers in the country to educate dealers. This event is a first class experience and highly recommended if you have never attended.

If dealers are not fortunate to have a budget to attend any of the conferences listed on this page, keep in mind that next week starts the Fall Semester of the 12-week course on Digital Marketing and Social Media.
The online classes starts Wednesday, September 7th and you can get more information at http://www.automotiveinternships.org
More is less when it comes to learning so Brian has once again nailed it!
The growing selection of online and real world venues supporting sharing best practices in the auto industry reflects a changing culture brought about by social networking that empowers people to use the internet to listen, learn and teach followed by real world opportunities to meet new found virtual friends that would otherwise be geographically challenged.
The reaction that Tracy -- Hi Tracy -- had to a fellow ADM friend who shared his passion for his chosen employer is unfortunate since it suggests that one must take sides when competitive comparisons surface in an open forum. Frankly, were it not for that energetic post I would not have had the opporunity to remind some friends that they need to carve out time in October to share -- regardless of which conference fits their schedule and needs! Comments by visionaries like Ralph Paglia that surfaced on that same post reminding us of the wisdom of learning would also have never surfaced.
That said, I hope that Tracy won't hold a fellow ADM friends passion against him, his employer or the opportunity to listen and learn so we all can presume to continue to teach.
After all, what are friends, ADM, Digital Dealer, DrivingSales, JD Powers, Blog World, PCG's series of sessions and Internet Battle Plan and Jim Zieglers seminars for!
(Along with the dozens of other learning opportunities that I left out because my wife is making me stop writing so I can clean the dishes even though it is my Birthday weekend!)
