You are a victim of your competition. Unfortunately, there is software out there that people purchase to do this.

Please read my blog post here to learn all about it:

How do you post a craigslist add in multiple locations withoug being flagged? How does Craigslist flag?
The users of Craiglist Flag. The number is secret, but many feel it's between 8 and 11 different people.

If you overpost, you will get flagged by real people. I never do more than five in a row, and I usually wait until after 10:00.

I watch my live stats, and I can see the clicks come. During the day there are many other dealers posting at the same time, so you will get less traffic.
According to the Terms of Use by Craigslist you are not permitted to do that. Craigslist can detirmine that you are posting in different locations and can ghost your ads and if they wanted to they could black list your IP address

There are limits to the number of listings you can post to Craigslist at once to prevent spamming and keep Craigslist "by the people for the people." You need to schedule your posts throughout the day, so they don't appear in a big block, which causes people to flag you... Posting every couple of hours is a hassle if you're doing that manually, but "them's the rules."

You might try a Craiglist posting and monitoring service. HomeNet sells one called InteliPost that's managed by humans, and they post your inventory at different times throughout the day and night, ensuring you're not violating anything, yet your inventory gets removed, updated, and refreshed daily.

I have a friend who's a realtor, and they use a similar kind of service for the real estate section.
Make sure a few things yopu can trouble shoot ..

1. That you are posting from a dealership computer or wherever the craigslist account was set up. 2. That you are not using a auto posting software 3. That the ads have maybe one or two links ( not heavy on out going links ) 4. Make sure that the link you provide goes to the dealerships website, 5. Frequency: look at other listings make sure that you are not over posting, 6. Like Mike said Unfortunately, there is software out there that people purchase to do this. http://www.inventoryblaster.com
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? The 8-11 answer may be accurate, but that is within a certain time frame. If you were flagged 8-11 times in a month you would not have a problem. Remember Craigslist is a marathon not a sprint, so you must develop a sustainable system. IP wont' effect flagging, so don't worry about that. Craigslist members flag you not Craigslist itself. Also it will depend on your market, San Francisco is much different than Oklahoma City. I work with over 200 dealers nationwide and its never as simple as people would like to believe. That's why my motto is: "The denial of complexity is a form of deception."
