I wanted to tell you a little more about myself. I grew up in a small town in Southwest Kansas and went to college at Fort Hays andKansas State . I have played sports my whole life, and am very competitive. I started in the car business in Denver Colorado , where I met Biff Gordon at Douglas Toyota. I was lucky enough to learn the business from some very talented guys that took me under there wing and help make me a success. I worked for Biff and his family for over 15 years. The Gordon family bought some dealerships in southern California and as part of the team I moved out there to work for them. I always felt like I was part of the family, and was treated as such. I was divorced in 2001 and my ex-wife moved back to Kansas with my kids. I could not live without them close to me, so I moved back here too. I can replace the money, but I can't replace the time with my 2 sons. Since I have been back in Kansas I have struggled to find a place I can call home to go work at every day. I worked for Briggs for a few years and did lots for him to help move the needle running the BDC and Internet Dept. After he changed my pay plan twice because he felt I was making to much money, I had to leave. I have been with my wife for over 4 years and we got married last Sept. I moved to Topeka so she could have shared custody with her ex-husband. I also now have full custody of my 2 sons. As you can tell my life has change with a new wife and 5 kids to take care of. I am just not happy at Lewis Toyota and I need more responsibility and a chance to make more money in a store I can make a difference and help them move the needle. I have the experience and knowledge of working in the big city dealerships in stores that sold 300-500 cars a month, and the heart and soul of a small town boy. I know how to manage people and get the most out of them. I have been involved in the Internet and BDC departments in every dealership I have been in since 1998. I have known what direction the internet was going at every turn and keeping myself on the cutting edge of what was out there. I don't expect them to try their best; I expect them to do their best. Some people are better players than they are coaches. Some are better coaches then they are players. I am a good player, but I am a great coach. It can be done with respect and caring. That's all sales people really need. I would like the chance to sit down with you and talk about what it is that you need from me and what I can do for you.
