Okay I just heard of an OEM approved vendor for PPC asking clients to sign a 3 year agreement! I have always been of the mindset that if it isnt month to month run away! What say you?

Yes you would have to be on crack to sign a 3 year on PPC!!!!

All of the above.  They must share!  Micah please do not present 3 year ppc contracts to customer.

Call the vendor out, ADM needs to know!

I see nothing wrong with a 3 year agreement, but you better be a ass kicking company!

There's a difference between commitment to a strong service and getting locked into something that may or may not deliver. Commitment has nothing to do with getting locked in. It's about forming a partnership based upon mutual trust between vendor and dealer. The vendor trusts that the dealer won't cancel if they're delivering results and the dealer trusts that the vendor won't suck. This is why month-to-month is the best way to go.

Like I said, the best of the best will get that kind of agreement!

Three months makes sense...6 months, maybe. The tech world can completely transform in 1-2 years. Companies get bought, economies crash, new technologies emerge. God bless the company that landed those deals. Negative reviews could ultimately bite them in the butt down the road.

They pop a few home runs with long contracts and sub out most of the work.

Big time overcharges with subpar results!


If I ever signed a 3 year commitment, my CFO would have me sent for a mental health evaluation.

I do a lot of consulting and marketing with car dealers here in southern California and everything is month to month. I even tell my clients they don't have to pay me if I'm not delivering real results.

Honestly, it's much easier just doing good work than having to jump on a call every month and rationalize your bill.

I'm frankly surprised any marketing company would even purpose such a thing.

Is it possible you mis-read it or it was a typo and it was really 3 months? I can see a company wanting to get a 3 month commitment as some things do take time to ramp.

Out of any of the automotive marketing segments, my experience has been that most PPC providers generally oversell what they can do for you, and rarely deliver 100% on their promises. THREE YEARS IS INSANE.
